Several Tourist Attractions in Banda Aceh

On this page I will discuss the magnificent tourist places in Banda Aceh and have its own beauty in a short, solid and clear way.

Immediately we see the place below and the explanation.

Aceh Tsunami Museum

This is the Aceh Tsunami Museum located on Jalan T Iskandar Muda, Banda Aceh, Aceh Province. Visitors may be cheerful. Joking, take pictures at the outside of the museum with a minimalist-futuristic building. On the front there was indeed a police helicopter carcass which was one of the remaining tsunamis. But when you get inside, you must be caught up and carried away by a deep sorrow.

Aceh Tsunami Museum occupies a 4-story building with an area of 2,500 m2. Visitors will enter the hall which is only lit by outside lights, exactly from a height of 40 meters.

The museum, which was built with funds of around Rp. 70 billion, has 2 floors where the 1st floor is an open area that can be seen from the outside and functions as a place to commemorate the tsunami. On this floor there are several rooms that contain a track record of the 2004 tsunami. Among them are tsunami showrooms, tsunami, tsunami and post-tsunami space.

PLTD Ship Floating I

This ship has a weight of 2,600 tons. Has a length of 63 meters and an area of 1,900 M2. With this size, you can imagine the load and the size of the ship. But this ship is not in the sea but 'parking' in the middle of the city. How can?

The tsunami wave slammed this ship as far as 3 Km. The ship that has the name PLTD Apung is swayed by the tsunami and destroys people's homes.

This ship has 3 levels. To reach the last level, we need to climb the stairs. Be careful that the stairs are relatively narrow and rusty can make your footsteps become slippery. However, visitors are not allowed to enter the ship because it is still under repair.

Aceh Traditional House

The Aceh house is a high-rise stage house that varies according to the architecture of the maker, but in its custom has a height of about 2.5 - 3 meters above the ground. Consisting of three or five rooms in it, for the main room is often referred to as creep.

The Aceh house was built to resemble a traditional Acehnese residence, in the form of a raised house. This building floor is designed as high as 9 feet or more from the ground surface. Lean on wooden support poles with space under it.

The floor area of this building is more than 200 m2 with the roof height in the join section about 8 m. The specialty of "Aceh House" and the like lies in the robustness of the building; even though the parts of the house are only united with palm fiber, pegs and wedges as a call for nails and screws.

Baiturrahman Great Mosque was first built in the era of the Aceh Sultanate. The roof of the mosque is made in accordance with the characteristics of mosques in Indonesia and at that time, a four-story pyramid roof.

Which are the two historical versions of this mosque's flow. Some of the words of this mosque were founded in 1292 AD by Sultan Alauddin Johan Mahmudsyah. Meanwhile, another mosque was founded by Sultan Iskandar Muda in 1612 M. I hope this article is useful.
